     Jen-Shiu Hsu was born and raised in Hsinchu, where he spent most of his childhood time embracing the great natural environment. He marches toward mountains and valleys not only in Taiwan, but also every corner around the world. In 1960s, Hsu launched a movement against the unfriendly way that nature has borne and urged people to get involved with environmental protection by recording the natural beauty of Taiwan. He has also put himself into the environmental revolution; he teaches people the importance of ecology, writes articles and books about nature, gets on stages and even holds exhibitions for children, offering them an unforgettable experience in their lives. In 1995, Hsu funded an organization called "the Society of Wilderness" (SOW), wishing it could gather an unprecedented force in the line of environmental protection.
